Just spotted this photo. The Iso Grifo, which was an elegant fast Italian car with a Corvette engine. It was a beautiful shape with a snarly nose. And then someone or some committee decided to add a warehouse rooftop A/C unit to the hood. For carburetor clearance or what??

That was my thought - a spacer kit on the hood to clear the intake. It really ruins the looks.

(This engine is upside down)

I’ve found that a concoction my wife made up for house stuff works pretty well on raw aluminum. Brake cleaner and all those chemicals generally turn aluminum black, which is frustrating.

This is 2/3 to 1/3 vinegar and Dawn liquid soap and elbow grease. She says heat up the vinegar when you mix it, which keeps it from separating. I just have it in a spray bottle.

This water pump gasket surface, which had old gummed up gasket, I scraped carefully with a flexible putty knife and a plastic razor blades (not that great if you ask me). Then I used a green scotchbrite wet with this mix and everything cleaned right off the block. Wipe it down with a clean wet rag. Did pretty well with the casting texture on the head. This is after brass wire brushing and scraping and all of that if it's caked on.

The little gear with the bronze fitting is the tach drive off the side of the water pump.

It took me along time to build. This is my Toyota campervan built from 2-1995 Toyota Previa vans to make one long extended Toyota Previa camper with lifted suspensions, awd and supercharge engine.

I'm driving and going on adventures around my state(Washington, USA) for now, before venturing out to oher states and around the country and on to other parts around the world.

That's a long long van and a Buddhist temple! It's pretty well done - the lines and curves along the sides.

A lot smaller than yet another enormous Sprinter = WIN!
