My 2002 V70 has 41,000 miles. It used to take up to 18.4 gal on a fillup. I could drive it until the trip computer said 0 miles to empty. Now if I drive home and park in a level spot, with the needle not yet in the red and the computer showing 80 or 90 miles, it won't start in the morning until I add gas from a can.
The dealer says he can recalibrate the gauge but I think the problem is that for some reason I can no longer use the last 2 or 3 gal. in the tank. Has anyone else had this problem, and what is the solution?
