Does this DICE/VIDA laptop setup on EBAY look Good in 2024?

Searched a bunch of threads regarding the current state of DICE/VIDA set ups but most of the info is 10 years old...

Does this set up look solid? Anyone used JM Diagnostics in the UK's gear? $330.00 (including shipping/tax/import fees) seems ok for the whole set up...

It looks like a good deal to me. Especially as it runs Win10 Pro. Mine still is on Win7 Pro and is a bit of a pain as it is slow. It works but this sounds overall like a good deal with the additional software included.

It seems to be well reviewed on Ebay - for what that's worth. I decided to try it.
I recently relocated for work and lost my great mechanic, so I am hoping to be able to do more troubleshooting and repairs on my own. It's coming from the UK and I am in LA - so it will be a while before I can see how it does. I will report back sometime in the future.

UPDATE!

Unit arrived yesterday and after charging the laptop I went out to Yeti and plugged er in. Unit scanned perfectly and gave me all my vehicle info and ran a diagnostic. Hurrah it works!!! Found the fault in my SRS. Pretty sure it has to do with me swapping the seats out from my donor car, but I don't have time right now to dig deeper, I also will be swapping the seat belts out for the units I harvested from my donor car so I will do that before trying to track down the issue.

So far very happy and feel the purchase was worth it (especially because it also contains additional software and a Digital Hayes Manual)

I will follow up when I am back to working on it and I will add a link to this thread in the DICE/VIDA section.



Once caveat - the power adaptor did come with a European style plug - but it was easy to swap it with the 'Merican version - a standard cord I had lying around from some other power adaptor from the past. No biggie.

Thanks for the update. This looks like a really positive purchase so far. Shame about the UK style power lead, but it is a standard swap as you have stated. Really appreciate this. Makes me now want to think about updating my system.
