2005 S40 powertrain and drivetrain swap into a 2010 V50
Hello, I'm wondering what issues I would have if I did a complete drivetrain and powertrain swap from a s40 T5 AWD 6 speed manual to a 2.4i fwd V50. I did some research and it appears I should be able to do a physical component swap without any issues. Guess I'm more concerned about any unknown harness issues. I would plan to swap ECM and TCM. Obviously would need to add the clutch pedal and related components. I know the V50 T5 6 speed was a factory option. Thanks.

I dunno 'bout yours, but my v50 automatic is 100% fly by wire. The gearshift is nothing but a fancied-up joystick from a ATARI console. There is NO LINKAGE.
Just look at it - nothing but a single connector to the 'lectric harness - the gearshift is a lie!
(Is it thereby a "gearshit"?)

1982 240DL: Drove it 32 years and 1.5 million miles (sold, even still had mint leather!)
2001 v70 2.4T: The most expensive $1500 car I ever bought ("Volvo Turbo" - what an oxymoron!) (sold)
2004 v70: Far less fatally-flawed v70 - It served well (sold)
2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!
