Battery flat after 3 weeks now can't unlock or lock doors gas , petrol cap locked
So after a nice 3 weeks holidays the Volvo Battery on my -18 S90 was completely flat, been trying to kick it back to life for a few days and seems to be ok ish, only thing that developed now is that the car can't be locked or opened with the fob. thought I'd look at that issue bit further down the line but now I'm faced with that I can't open the fuel cap! Any ideas? Been googling but to no avail if there is a manual override anywhere. Any hints tips greatly appreciated
Just an update if anyone else might be helped. There is a way to open the rear fuel cap without opening the doors with some tools you can carefully bend the flap slid accross a flap and expose the lock mechanism that is attached with a hex bolt.
I did not think that the keyfob had lost its access to the car since I can start and drive the thing. The first place did replace the keyfob battery but could not read any signals from the fob so when I got the car back today I opened the fob and had a look. one of the "prongs" suppossed to be on the "-" side of the battery was bent down, I bent these up and tried it again and locks now work.
Guess the Volvo is back in business for this time.
