Saintly….
Her dad sold it in the early 90s to pay for her college
That’s an instinct rejection from the League of Esteemed Dads.if a Tosser like me could make 48 semesters of tuition payments turning tricks on weekends, so you can you. One weekend , I made $100.25!

Sure enough, this isn't a P1800, it's the Polestar Cyan Racing, 400hp, carbon-fiber-bodied, wheelbase-changed, every detail tweaked, SInger version of an old Volvo. I wondered! It was raining so hard and got dark, I didn't get back to look up close. It's the green one, not the blue one you see in pictures. Did they actually sell these to customers?

The "Going to the Sun Rally" came through town last night, stayed over at a hotel along the river. Probably 30 exotic and interesting cars, but pouring rain. Hope the British electrics aren't drenched on the drive today. "Going to the Shop in the Morning Rally"

I’ve never seen a Volvo get more press than that P1800 got, what was it, 9-12 months ago. Bananas 🍌 level chatter.

Actually a ringer. It was designed by F. Porsche in 1938, but not built, because, well, 1938. The idea was to build a sporty tourer using a detuned engine and civilized road manners. Audi apparently had a vault full of excess cash and commissioned a British coachworks in '22 to build it for the collection. It does run - although it has a real Gran Prix engine, so has to run on 1938 racing fuel, which includes 50% methanol (!) and makes 512 HP from 6.0L.
