96 850 glt sedan
Hello all, I bought a 96 Volvo 850 Glt sedan and had to put a CV axle on the left side. It only has 130000 miles on it and the new outer boot I just put on has ripped along with the other side. I can't find oem
new and was hoping someone here might have a set to sell so I can have them rebuilt if need be. I love the car and don't want to let CV Joints keep me from it. It has so few miles and would be such a waist to give up it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You should be able to find GKN/Lobro boots out there (OEM supplier). They are getting harder to find but they are out there. Try Autohauz, IPD and FCP for starters.

The inners can be challenging as some list turbo and non-turbo as the same and other brands different. The Meyle kit for inner and outer shows it fits NA and 2.3 Turbo cars. There is a difference so be careful. They do list the Volvo correct part though for the inner. Pricy but hopefully yo only need to do the job once!
I am assuming your car is an auto, non-turbo (it is a 96 GLT) and it shouldn't make a difference if sedan or wagon.
I have however, found the inner boot is the hard one to find. Do not by EMPI boots in my opinion they are garbage.
Neil.

This subject rang a bell and after some searching I found it. This covers using GKN boots inner and outer part numbers and the use of an Audi inner for the NA cars.
