1998 V90 Spark plug question(which ones)

Post by eightfifty2x0 »

Hello there.

My engine vibrates unevenly when under 1000 RPM and am thinking of changing the spark plugs. But, there are many different spark plugs, first and foremost different by price. Some cost 4 euros per piece, others, like the OEM, cost 40. In my manual it says that i should get for normal use the P/N 271636-3(oder similar) which have electrode distance of 0,7-0,8 millimeters. On Autodoc most have bigger distance and on Skandix the OEM spark plugs cost 42 euros each. I added a screenshot of the spark plugs from Skandix.
Can anyone tell me which to get in order for my car to drive well and me not needing to sell a kindey?!
Thanks in advance

Well the higher price is a kit so slightly over 10EUR piece.

I am cheap and on 850 i recently went on cheapest Denso K20TT spark plugs. Technically slightly incorrect gap.

But my problems of not starting in the end was at distributor being "gone" and rotary too inside it. My weared spark plugs definetly had bigger gap due wear but were still okay-ish running. There is too times spark plugs can break internally and then there is fake spark plugs with internal resistance being all over place.

I would in your case personally maybe not right.. suspect some cylinder doesnt have any spark / lost spark or fuel injection having problem if such clear problem.

Hey, people! I have changed the spark plugs. They look like in the picture. A neighbor said that the engine seems to run rather lean and the cause for it might be the fuel filter.
What do you say about it?Image

If you aren’t getting lean codes and the engine symbol on the dash, your engine is running within 10% of design. That’s a neighbor whose car advice should probably be thanked, then ignored.

Danken, Oder krank!
