spark plugs for 95 850 N/A

Post by Danonly55 »

What plugs do you recomend for my 95 850 N/A There are the 3 pronged ones and the single prong plugs. You can not gap the 3 pronged ones like you can the single pronged ones. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For an 850 N/A I prefer the 3-prong ones. You don't need to adjust the gap. They last about 40k miles which is great on an old car: when random issues pop up, you can know the plugs are not likely the cause. e.g. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo- ... 23401175kt

Single-prong plugs will work too, gap to 0.029. Copper plugs last about 15k miles but it's good to start checking the gap at 10k and re-gap if necessary. They are cheaper, too.

RobertDiy suggested I get the OE 3 prong Volvo plugs to bring my mileage up. I bought them, but have yet to get them in the car. I've got a 96.

I think Elizabeth is on her 8th set of plugs, and I’ve paid for about 4 sets

I use the 3-prong set from dealer, no problem and long last; more than 40k miles. I replace them every 60k miles.
