Double connection, Siata and the 2000cc OHV 70 degree engine. Ex Steve McQueen car he called his 'little Ferrari'.

^ The non-spoke wheels are very tall! I'm assuming those are stock because they're in more than one photo... i.e. different cars.

This also hammered for $946 once, but without all the zeros, what is it?

It had different names in different markets. In the UK I think it was the Toyota Crown for the 1970's. Here is a video on one:
