Looks like early B5254FS didn't had that hose for pcv on top of valve cover.

Ok. Well, I will see then what the oil trap is like and where the hoses go when (or if) I get the intake manifold out of the way. Thank you all so far!

It should connect to flame trap housing or big plastic hose which goes to throttle plate.

This is what i found. Only one hose goes up from the box to the throttle plate, in addition to the short elbow hose obviously.

Pcv breather box have only one output?
I can't see clearly....knock sensor connector is blocking the view.

What about that little hose which looks like it's cut?

it is like this box (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55470) but the hose from top of engine is missing.

I see only one port on the breather box from your picture.
Those from the link have two ports.

There is a Volvo part # on your breather box.
Can you read it and post it here?

My box is in other ways similar to the box behind the link except my box has only one port on top of the box. The part number: 6842718.
