Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Pushed 7 liters of Volvo Maxlife ATF Dex 6 into KarlaKat transmission via pumpout through the radiator hose. Managed to do this on a conference call while getting paid.

Not today, but Sunday. On my way to re-assembling the car from the manual swap I decided to do the preventative maintenance items while I had the suspension off. So did timing belt, water pump, aux belt, spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap. So 1 day diversion from putting the car back on the ground, Now I can button everything up and see it it all works after the swap

Always good to get the 'while you are in there' stuff done as well. especially the service stuff.
I'm still in the 850 AWD dash repair for my buddies car. I hate 850 dashes as they are needlessly more difficult to work on the the 98- P80's.
I have replaced the broken direction flap on the RHS of the airbox. Also checked the LHS as they like to become gooey and stick causing the flap drive to snap. Fortunately the LHS was ok as they are NLA and have been so for some reason for 10+ years if I recall.
Took the opportunity to clean most of the accessible airbox and my buddy brought some cleaning foam that looks like shaving foam, and sprayed the evaporator that looks really clean. He added the cabin air filter many years ago and it shows. Now starting to reassemble.
Neil.

I have tried to empirically work my way through the problem today.

I guess I will have to find bougicord cables now. Apparently EFI Automotive are the ones who make Bougicord cables and I've been able to find what looks like the right leads now under that name.
- I found the ignition coil cable was touching the AMM. I moved the cable so that it was not touching. Cleared the fault codes, went on a test ride of 8km.
Result: No difference, the same kind of fault codes returned after the trip. - I replaced the ignition coil cable with the old one but left the other cables. Cleared the fault codes, went on the same trip again.
Result: No difference, the same kind of fault codes returned after the trip. - Now I finally replaced all the spark plug leads with the old ones. Cleared the fault codes, went on the same trip again.
Result: Yes! No fault codes after this trip!
