Worked on the E83 PCV today in 30F and 25 mph winds. Only did an hour before tapping out. Every single piece of plastic hose snapped , but since they are all FreeCP I wasn’t too burned on that. Will be in Paris next weekend so free shipping will be fine

They ship free to Paris too, sweet!
The cold probably aggravated those hoses. Worst part of working on anything plastic in the cold... I made the mistake of messing with the tailgate trim on the R... I've been plastic welding it back together.

You are tougher than me. Weather here today is about the same and I will not be working outside.

I hooked my little Noco genius 1 battery charger up to the Volvo 850's starter battery, just to keep it happy in this cold snap.

Spent the last couple of days harvesting.
A '98 V70 GLT showed up at the local yard about 3 weeks ago, but I didn't get there before someone got the rear tail lights. I really don't need them, but still. However I did get : Right side axle (will fit '96 turbo), both headlights, front and back seats w/ good leather (tan), lift gate struts, and a perfect set of roof trim strips. Those are what surprised me the most. Car must have been garaged most of its life.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

I got super lucky and found a nearly perfect set of roof strips a few years ago. They're still on my car now and still in surprisingly good shape! I suppose I should clean them and apply something to preserve them before I need another set.

I have two of the Noco Genius 1 chargers. I think they're fantastic little things. I really need to get outside, put them on my vehicles, as that's what I bought them for. However, the most recent use was to bring up a battery from just over a single volt to fully charged over a weekend. I bought another car (A 2010 Ford Focus) and it had a recent battery, but must have gone through the auction process a bit slower than most, killing the battery. Given it's August 2022 date, I wanted to give it a chance before replacing it. It seems to be fine, now.

Anyone have any experience with FCP when the part you ordered is now longer available? I ordered a Behr heater core from them and paid a premium just to have the guarantee, but now they are no longer listed. I had noticed the price almost double a while ago, and then return to less than what I had paid for it, and now when I click "buy again" I get a 404, not even a discontinued or out of stock page.

No idea why you get the 404 page issue. I'd call them and ask for help. I have found them always helpful in the past. The risk always is even with the warranty, they can not guarantee the manufacturer of a part for a 25+ year old car will continue to make it as the demand falls off.
