02 S60 T5 front control arm bushing replacement

Post by Cossack »

Does anybody have any insight on replacing the front control arm bushings? Is this do-able at home, and what tools are required (press?).

Am I better off replacing the entire arms instead of giving the bushings a try?

Thank you

Not too bad...you can use a press. Make sure the ball joints aren't bad. Even at the dealer, the bushings themselves aren't that expensive- $20 or so from what I've heard. Of course, they are cheaper on line ( www.fcpgroton.com or eeuroparts.com ) If the bushings are Scantech branded, avoid them- they'll wear out quickly.
