If it is the water it should probably fix itself when it dries out. Don't think you need to do anything to get it back to running condition?

I also vote Ignition/distributor. I was chasing some stalling and starting issues for a long time on my s70, and it was just a bad distributor cap that would cause all kinds of issues when some moisture was added. I believe it was even rather newly replaced but still bad.
