Clunk when turning left / C30 2.5 T automatic Topic is solved

Here is a new link to show what I have done so far. I am fairly certain I will hear a clunk still when turning left. I did order a wheel hub brace as I am willing to give anything a shot..

Dear, sir. I am taking my hat off for all the hard labor your did. I am concerned that your current approach is getting to be costly. If erievovo cv shaft will not fix the issue(hey, your old/new one one leaked grease anyway), I would opt raise the white flag and search for a local shop equipped with vibration stand to diagnose suspension noises. It can be as simple as 10mm socket that mechanic left somewhere. But I would stop replacing parts since it will cost you more than dedicated diagnostics(hopefully one with vibratory stand available in your area). Good luck.
P.p.s what started all this clicking? Maybe you put aftermarket rims and central bore is different? Have you checked wear of the stabilizer bar bushings? Any chance you had an opportunity to raise the front end and turn wheels back and forth to see if the noise will show itself?

Thanks for the follow up. I did turn the wheels with the car in the air back and forth and heard nothing. Bought this car used and it had that sound initially. It sounds like if you hit a petal pipe with another metal pipe just once.. I did take the car to the Firestone by me where I gor the alignment and they thought it was nothing at first and then said it was the inner cv joint on the driver side but I don't think they are really sure. Will give it a go and see what happens. If this doesn't wok I will take it to a small shop by my house.stay tuned. Thx

Thank you for follow up. I must admit that I am biased towards Firestone since they don't know hot to put lift arm under car in my area resulting in damage to sideskirts to my dad's xc60(small court case ongoing). Plus in my area firestone never bothers to invest in topnotch level . diagnostic tools such as vibratory stand. On the other thought-try to shake the hood of the car. If you have the hood insulation cover it is possible that something is trapped there by prior lousy repair(someone was removing the hood and dropped the nut inside and never bother to remove, maybe try to remove wheelwell liners just in case there is something there(quite doubt, but you tried so much already)

Great suggestion. I will check there as well. Have not been a fan of firestone either. I really only use them for the lifetime alignments and they have a shop right in front of where I work. One time they messed up an xc90 of mine that I had because the inspected the starter and moved a hose to get to it. Forgot to reposition the hose and they left it leaning on the radiator fan and fan would not turn on to cool the car. Almost overheated the car but I caught it last minute. The hose messed up the fan blades and they did replace for me.

Depending on what you need in a set, use the small needle to inject some grease through the boot directly into the bearing to see if the noise changes. Grease 3 spots at 12, 4 and 8 o'clock on the boot. You can then wrap with the self sticking felt wiring harness tape. Have mended 2 boots with one completely split and both have held up without grease seepage. Good for ball joints also. Wrap in clockwise rotation so won't unravel with forward motion. Can spray some white lithium grease or inject the grease into other areas such as sub-frame bushings which normally does not require grease to see if the noise goes away. Be systematic and do one or two areas or parts at a time.

Ok. This may be resolved. After buying replacement driver side cv axles I finally no longer have any clunk after I ordered a used axle with the anti vibration piece attached. I bought an aftermarket at first and it flunked and then I bought gkn new and it flunked but no longer getting a clunk when replacing with actual oem. Thanks for all the help with this. Took about a year. 36000550 was the part that worked
