headlights bright mode always on 2004v70

Post by greatbigwave »

Maybe a dumb question, but I just purchased a used 2004 v70 wagon. I think it has the standard headlights. When I pull the headlight lever toward me, it moves the lights to bright mode. I can't figure out how to click it so they stay in bright mode. Most other cars, you push the lever away from you, but on the volvo it seems there is no way to keep the lights in bright mode. What do I need to do?

Welcome to MVS.
You sure you aren't in day time running light mode? That means that your head lights are essentially turned off (see light switch/knob at the left of your dash). If you are only on DTRL then brights won't work except like you describe them. You'll need to turn your headlights on for them to work.
