This NA 5 speed is low miles (105k) and cosmetically beautiful but it will never sell at that price ($10k).

As a car to drive it's worth maybe $4.5k in Indiana (where it sits now), maybe $6k in Seattle. Then you start spending time and money to find and replace the aged-out parts. While you still can!

Yeah that pricing is a little nutty. Trim's gotta be aftermarket.

Not new! But I just found an old email of mine on this 1969 142S that I didn't buy and still kick myself.

I believe it was on the old Ipd classifieds, the email was 2013.

"1969 Volvo 142S Coupe Looking for a good home. Asking $4000. Comes with complete repair history, original owners manual and Volvo 140 series Owners Workshop manual. Mileage: 227,530 Manual transmission. B20 engine, dual carburetor. Body in good shape. Windows all work, windshield has no cracks. Work done in 2013: New shocks & bushings front & rear New fuel pump New clutch New tires Ignition points, rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wires replaced. Motor mounts replaced in 2012, new muffler in 2009, new brakes, calipers and hoses in 2005. Engine was rebuilt in 1995. The issues: the car runs rough until warmed up, then runs well. carburetors will need attention. Couple of small rust spots and minor damage. Dash is cracked. Gas gauge works but is inaccurate. Call xxx email: xxxx. Leave message and will return call asap."

And this one was on CL, but not a Volvo. Late 2014.

Very desirable (to me) BMW 2800 sedan, probably 1972. Not the Bavaria, not the upmarket 3.0, just a clean straight classic. Manual. From an estate in Vancouver BC. A great color, very good condition, and it was cheap. I hesitated, I hovered, it sold. I didn't really need a 4 door sedan, but....I think about this car now and then.
