Hey there,
I’m currently in the process of doing a suspension and steering overhaul on my 2000 T6 S80.
While I’m currently only working on the passenger side, I noticed something that I hadn’t realized before, the clearance for the 2 frontward control arm bushing bolts is pretty tight. With an offset wrench I managed to get the passenger side control arm off, obviously without fully removing the front bushing bolts.
I’ve been told it’s alright to re-use those bolts, and mine seem to be in good shape. What I’m wondering is has anyone had any experience removing the driver side control arm on a T6 without lifting the engine or transmission? I’m hoping there’s enough room for me to back those bolts out enough to where I can get the control arm off, but I wanted to ask around before attempting that side. I’ve seen mixed messaging on this. Some say you do, but they are often replacing the bolts completely, some say you don’t, but haven’t elaborated too much on how they did it.
Sorry if this is rather long, it’s my first time posting on one of these forums. I’ve attached some photos so you can see my predicament.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

On a P80 the control arms for the 4 bolt control arms is the same design and issue. If you want to remove the bolts to replace, Place a floor jack under the oil pan at that end of the engine, use a piece of wood between the floor jack and oil pan and support the engine.
Unbolt the 2 bolts for the engine mount under the crank pulley from the block and gently raise that end of the engine just enough to swap the bolts. Do not jack more than is necessary or you can damage the RHS drive shaft. So maybe no more than 1".
If my bolts are in good condition I just re-use if the new parts don't come with the bolts.
