My son hit a deer with a 2004 xc70 about 2 months ago. Finally got the bumper, fender, hood, and new lights back on the car tonight. However, the car would not start and the battery had a voltage of about 1.5 volts per dmm. Currently have the battery disconnected and connected to a charger.
I assume there's either a parasitic drain or a short somewhere that drained the battery over the last two months.
What should I look at to trace this drain/fault? Car's electrical system was fine/drivable after hitting the deer.
electrical drain?

P2 will drain an older battery in about 3 weeks. With our 2002 V70 XC, 2007 S60 2.5T & 2012 XC90 I always warm the cars to operating temp at least once in two weeks. The first two are driven while the XC90 on non-op gets driven up and down the court. This also helps to make sure the tires don't flat spot. I have 3 other cars on non-op which also are brought to operation temp once in two weeks to keep the batteries from going dead.
