I would be hard pressed not to take that to the largest Volvo dealer amd body shop in town. Remember p2 door lock modules are onthe CANBUS so electronics are involved.

I thought the door handle/ lock cylinder assembly was all mechanical. A few years ago I replaced the driver door on Ikea and swapped this over from the old door, and I don't recall any cables going to this. Are you sure?

The actual door lock assembly maybe on the CANBUS, but that can be swapped over if they decide to install a new door (which I highly doubt will be needed)

Well it is good the offender has greed to pay. It is just a hassle that has to be gone through to get the car sorted. The picture does not show the damage extent. Hopefully it is just the drivers' door and the rear can be buffed out.

Good Luck!

Neil.

They are definitely on CANBUS but I don’t think there is VIN pinning or that foolishness.
