Big surprise today, place I ordered my order for rear replacement shocks, 8626027, was cancelled due to them only having one. Left me scrambling but I was able to find one more to complete the set. Some of the parts can be a real pita but that is to be expected with the age and limited nature. Nothing at all like muscle cars, those parts are easy.

That’s looking gorgeous for Any car, let alone a field rescue.

In the spirit of "while I am here" I decided to pull the turbo for rebuild. It seemed fine but with the seals sitting dry for so long I didn't want it to come back and bite me in the rear at a later date. All the rubber needed changed anyway so why not?

It’s much easier to reinstall the turbo with the hard lines on, slipping the coolant hoses on as you go, especially the short straight one

Found it. I got my wood for free from a Scot so I’ll pay the metal forward free likewise. Pictures in the classifieds under 1999 v70t5m56

Had a couple hours today to work on the car today. Got the new water pump, timing belt, seals, etc installed also new serp tensioner. Problem is every time I touch something I have to stop and clean, it really slows progress but it's just the way I am.
Next is more cleaning and re-looming all of the harness that needs it and replacing all of the rubber hoses. All of it could use replacement so I am just going to hit everything while it is this far down, no reason to risk it. Just keep plugging away one thing at a time, eventually it will get there.......

Thank you so much for the follow through sir. It looks like someone in there wants to buy it, by all means sell it to them and get the cash! I am not 100% sure which way I am going to go with it so I would hate to take it and wind up not using it. Your offer is very generous and much appreciated
