DO88 have been around for a while. Lots of places sell their 'performance' products like aluminum intercooler and radiators. There are those who may want to sing their praise, but never needed to use their stuff. Silicon hoses seem to be the way things are going these days and as our choices lessen for older cars, this may be the only option.

Maybe URO used to make decent products before greed and allowing quality to go out the window?

FAE Coolant temp sensor (FAE 32370, noted as Volvo 9186486 equivalent on many websites), brand new from 2025: reads 72 000ohms at ~20°C, when the spec calls for 2400...

I've attached the thread in the P1 section below to a frustrating issue with a C30 I have been helping with and it ended up with the dealer getting involved. There were other issues, but the remaining one was a random fluctuating rpm when warm and codes for air flow issues on the intake. All the intake measuring parts had been replaced, including some more than once. The final issue was found to be an aftermarket throttle body supplied by Rock Auto. The owner is hoping to return it (I wish him luck!). I suspect that all the other parts that were replaced previously were never faulty, but in fairness to all, tracking random issues never is!

Currently planning on doing the same as this. The front left axle outer boot has been leaking for a while, and has begun to pop when turning sharply (I suppose this could be from something else too). From what I've seen so far, I should stay away from the cheap options found on RockAuto. The only axle I can find that appears to be of good quality and affordable cost is the Protech axle available on iPD, part number VO10519. Does anyone here have any experience with their axles? Given that I plan to rebuild the original axle when it's out of the car I suppose it doesn't matter a ton, but I don't want to cheap out on a junk part as important as an axle is.

It appears that Bosch manufactured MAF sensors have become unavailable for my 1998s. Original Volvo OEM still available if you want to shell out $360 (at a reasonable website -- another site wants $812.00!!!). What are folks' opinions on the next best replacement MAF in 2026?

Bosch makes these for Volvo so they must be out there somewhere.

Bosch did make them for Volvo. They have not been available from Bosch for a while and most stocks have dried up. Last time I needed one about 18 months ago I had to get it from Volvo at a ridiculous price.

Do you have the Bosch part number for your version on your car? I have a few, one that was running on a 98 V70 NA as a loner until they owner got their Volvo replacement. So if you have no luck, PM me.
