Hey all!
Just a little heads up here. In case you were thinking "wow I've dropped and lost my crush washers that were on the banjo bolt for the PCV cooling hose, maybe i can just tighten it enough and itll be fine?"
No. No you cannot not. The gyser coolant coming out of the engine would imply so. I spent 2 hours looking for those little bastards and finally found them sitting on the frame rail lol. All buttoned up and some new coolant, i had a small rip in the rubber hose section right at the hose clamp. I've replaced the OEM clamp with a screw clamp and no more leaking!

The trick of securing the banjo bolt washers with a captive, sacrificial oring has made my life easy.
The o ring holds the stuff together, you start the threads , the pull the oring off with a pick, snapping it

Copper crush washers can be softened by heating to red color and air cooling. After this treatment they are again soft and will crush to seal.

Tip:
- Before ppl remove any connections with washers (oil drain plug, banjo etc)...mark which side is which. The bolt usually creates an indentation on the washers. Look carefully, you will see it. If you reinstall the washers in the same exact orientation, you will be fine.
- No need to reheat etc etc. Just mark it. I have not bought new washers in some 20 yrs...
