Got the exhaust on today and added/topped off all fluids and ran it for quite awhile today, no leaks! Check engine light is on for downstream 02 sensor I am still waiting on the extension to be able to plug it in. On to the suspension and brakes now!

You are shaming many of us with how clean the underhood area is!

Had a few hours this weekend so went back to work on the front suspension on this thing, and of course more cleaning
New struts, tie rods, lower control arms, brake lines, brake calipers, rotors and pads, end links, etc, etc
I thought I was about done and put the drivers caliper on only to notice it is a passenger side caliper as well, flickers sent me two pass calipers instead of a drivers and passenger. I guess I will be on the phone tomorrow trying to get it straight. Car is looking pretty good and starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel
Last pic is before passenger side

I have a list of parts for sale in the classifieds. Let me know if you need something.chaosrob wrote: ↑22 Jul 2025, 09:39 Hi all, just pulled a non running, rough 99 v70R auto out of a field in Missouri where it has been sitting since 2012. The car is 99% rust free but a non runner and is going to need a lot of work and parts to get it where it needs to be. I know I should run but I like a challenge. I will share along the way.
FP is dead do I get to tackle that first, I ordered the High Flow one from Vatt tuning, I have also preemptively ordered the timing belt kit with water pump, Pcv kit, new coolant hoses, spark plugs and assorted other parts from FCP. Passenger front window was smashed out so I replaced it.

That’s looking really sharp, Rob. Those four bolt arms are a pain compared to the two bolt but a lift helps there

Thanks. Some of you guys are heroes that do this stuff on the ground and not a lift. This bots weren't bad for me because it was simple to put a screw jack under the engine/trans and jack the engine up with the mounts loosened, on the ground it would have been more of a chore for sure. The cleaning is kicking my rear, it takes more time than the mechanicals.

I took the advice from the board and replaced the coolant overflow, associated lines and the same with the power steering. Was going to do the brake fluid reservoir as well but the o rings are on back order.
Front is all buttoned up and have now moved on to the rear. I have replaced the two lateral links as the originals were very rusty. Probably would have been okay but I decided to just get them gone.
My rear brake hoses are very different from the ones FCP sent, hopefully they will still work,
Getting pretty excited as this thing is nearing the point where it can come off the lift and I can work on the interior and body, then off for an alignment
