There is a one-way valve at the brake booster that does become flaky with age. It is just a simple plastic piece that can be pulled out and replaced.

I continue with my rear brakes... Here's the result. A PITA. Rust everywhere. Steels hoses are ok, but tscrews have suffer a bit i must say. I've cleaned every part, putted some rust killer, and let it dry. Tomorrow, some black paint, and i will be good to go !

The rear flexi-hoses are a real challenge, in particular the one on the top of the rear axle. Well done!

Continue to repair my 850. Today, I've tried to disconnect the fuel tank. The both hoses didn't want to come and they broke... I prefer not to speak about fuel hoses...
The outer size of the the nipple on the top of the fuel pump is 9mm. Can i use these replacements parts ? Or have someone another idea to propose ?
I've used a oil filter tool to get the fuel pump "screw" out to inspect it. No issue. I've disassembled the metal hose to feed the tank, cleaned every part as much as i could, putted some grease on rubber parts, and assembled back. No issue. Last question : one hose goes from the fuel pump to the fuel filter. Where goes the second one (i've forgotten to have a look). May be some knows. I need to buy fuel hoses Ø 9 mm, and so i don't know how long this hose should be.
Thanks Guys.

Manalov, as per your picture from the dealer, the 2 pipes. One is the feed to the fuel rail at the front from the pump via the fuel filter, and the 2nd it the return from the engine to the tank. I can't recall the specifics of the pipes other than them being routed along the channel under the floor.
You have had to tackle a long and painful challenge. Just be happy you have not had to deal with cars like Abscate and his friends on the Eastern side of the northern US! Great work!
Abscate, I can only agree with your statement. Hopefully the T5 will be resurrected soon!

Thousand thanks for your post, i appreciate. I agree your analysis about the way hoses get under the car. I discover everyday than the right tool makes the right job. These fuel hoses are hidden behind a plastic cover fixed by plastic screws, under the car, right side.... This car seems to be so "simple" to maintain. I've succeeded unscrewing the 2 connectors at the "exit" of the injection bracket. Some good penetrating oil, again, the right tool... I will get new hoses the week. I was wandering if it was a option to thread the hoses directly onto the fuel pump fittings. I suppose the 2 quick connectors may have a reason to have been installed there. Numbered dealers couldn't help me with new connectors because our fuel pump doesn't have a "throat" on their top. So i will finish to thread the hoses directly on the FP nipple...
I fight with an old 850 issue, if i do remember well what Abscate told me once. What kind of tungsten carbide metal drill bit could someone recommend to me to get out of this issue ? My metals drills break the ones after the others. And as the fuel system is open near, i can't heat the hub.

Soak the broken bolt with a good penetrating oil. Then check the rear of the hub. I have had luck with the bolt extending out the back of the hub and been able to get hold of it with vice grips and wind it out from the rear. If you have to drill the bolt remains, center punch it first (which I think you have done from your picture). Volvo bolts are hard, 8.8 grade normally. I have used standard drill bits in the past of a good quality (Bosch/Makita or quality brands) to drill out many bolts. They have to be fairly new and not blunt.
Abscate did find barb connectors like the ones you showed in your first picture on the repairs and fuel pump swap on his S70 AWD. Can't recall where he found them. They can get hard to remove, but patience and a good forked tool that goes under the end of the connector to depress the locking mechanism usually works. These are much better than the ones used on P2 Volvos that are more open and fill with dirt.

Thanks Neil, unfortunately, I've drilled the bolt a first time and introduced a "pull-out stud", which broke inside the first hole. I should, after having drilled the bolt introduced rather a torx bit to try to move the bolt... I will find some tungsten carbide lining on Monday. I don't want to let the situation so. When i brake, i feel the disk "to move a bit"...
I will try to see if i can grip the bolt from outside. I simply didn't think about to do the job this way. I learn everyday.
Thanks again.
