Thank you folks. I am not confident on working on cars now. Looking for a shop to do it but everyone asks $200 for diagnosis first. Maybe I will try give it away for free.

I put new hoses on, no luck. The old hose cracked splitted open. It is not like broken overnight. Somewhere else could be crack open. I guess time to junk it. It maybe costs hundreds to repair and still can't sell it after fixed. Good bye, every old car has an end.

Your probably throwing away a car over a $5 hose plus some help needed to find it.

But this help of diagnosis is too precious to get. Sad for old cars. Even I pay the the shop for it, they would think it not worthwhile to work on.

It’s no different time to diagnose than to fix. It’s actually harder to diagnose. Find some Volvo people nearby for help

Yes, I am fine towing it to a shop and paying $120 per hour to get the help. But it could be actually bigger and more costly problem. And the car is not very useful to me. I have another 16 year old car currently in better condition.

Sell it as a mechanic special rather than to a junk yard. Someone with about an hour with a smoke machine will find out if there are any hose leaks.

Good luck either way.

I towed it to a well known Volvo shop here. They said fuel pump or injectors are bad, and asked $1700 for fixing it. Well they seem to know I am going to junk it, and offer to take it for 0 and cover the diagnosis cost. Maybe it is just fine to let it go. They don't allow me to tow it to another shop for cheaper repair, before paying $200 for their diagnosis.

So I left the car to them. Maybe they will fix and sell it for $2k and it could be still running.

I saw a paper ad there from someone for selling a 2008 207k mile XC70 for $2500. Seems to be good condition. Very nice but I have another 16 year old car at home. Have to stay cool with it. lol
