I'm thinking about putting in a trim at the end. Anyone that understands Volvo's trimline naming knows that GLT stands for Grand Luxe Touring. This trailer will be grand when it's all done, it will be luxurious, and it will indeed be a camper. In other words, touring. I am pretty sure I want to stick with 1998.
So the naming ideas are as follows:
1998 Volvo Loadmaster GLT
1998 Volvo C.A.R. GLT
1998 Volvo Sportrailer GLT (1 't', not 2, in 'sporttrailer')
1998 Volvo Sporthauler GLT
Suddenly sport looks like a strange foreign word.

Let me know your thoughts.

Im going to go to insurance office to figure out if they can enter that. Ill update when I get info.

I went to state registration because that's who has naming authority...and my report is a mood killer. They won't put a custom YMM on a homemade trailer. It'll be [year I finish building it] Shop Built Trailer. That sucks. However I'm going to keep this alive because it's not the end. I'll tell every person that asks that it's a 2026 Volvo Sportrailer GLT with 1998 V70 heritage. The scant amount of branding/labeling left on trunk lid is going in the trash. In its place is going to be shiny chrome letters reading Volvo Sportrailer GLT, in the time-period correct Volvo fashion.
