Brake on no go Vacuum?

Have a problem, engine seemed to be starving for fuel and would stop. I turn off then on again and it would run for a short time then quit again . They replaced a vacuum hose and it runs great except when at a stop it will not go forward till the brake is released fully and the turbo seems to not kick in. any ideas??

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Why would you expect the car to move when the brake is not fully released? What symptoms are you experiencing that lead you to believe that the turbos are not working?

Welcome to MVS. Which model year do you have? Seems at least on V70's, the '01 model had a "stop neutral" switch in it that would basically put the transmission into neutral until you lift off of the brake and hit the accelerator. Volvo did away with this as it was messing up to many transmissions. Maybe yours has the same feature. If so, it can be disabled with a software download at the dealer. Ask for it and see what they say.
