Still getting this surge in the 2000-2300 rpm band. I can’t remember if I ever tried a new turbo control valve , I think I skipped that once I saw the Throttle body codes

Did you ever swap the throttle body on the car? I have several LPT throttle bodies and a bucket of TCV's if needed.

I have not. It is perfectly drivable with a light foot, which is how Grandad Abscate drives anyhow, so this has been put off.
