Got a call from my buddy who is in a wheelchair. His wife's car had a battery issue. Could I pick one up and run out to their place and fit it. Duly done as he is a quad and his wife is also facing health challenges I am happy to help where I can.

While there I decided to check his modified Honda Odyssey wheel chair van. I nearly fell over! Battery was dated 07/12!!!

I have bought a trickle charger for them and will show his wife how to use it and get that battery swapped ASAP.

For me it's not worth the trouble trying to eek out more time when a battery nears the end of it's life. How old is it? How was it maintained?
Hey! I’m being judged!

Any adult would replace the battery of course , but that’s a path that I find hard to follow sometimes.

Ive been chasing a grinding/vibrating noise coming from the rear of the vehicle when applying moderate brake pressure at low speed. Tonight I took the rear wheels off and couldn't find anything wrong with the calipers or rotors. The parking brakes were a little loose so adjusted that. And now it seems to be gone after the test drive.

Took the V70 out for a good 250 mile highway run. Ran great, but at about the 200 mile mark I got a CEL.
Checked it when I got home; P0455. Evap system gross leak / no flow. So I'll take a look at the hoses, but I'm thinking that it is one of the valves in the system, since all of the hoses are new.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Battery 12/2023. It might be weak due to sitting while I deferred valve cover job. Starting well at 0C so maybe one more year possible and

Have you tried a battery recovery charger? Worth having one on hand even if it does not work this time.

A hard day work digging out of 18 inches of white. Thankfully not too heavy , and used my skills to fix neighbors snowblower , claimed it for post repair testing, too…..😊

I too have an EVAP code.... but I don't recall which one. I need to work on my poor car, but I'm waiting till warmer weather.

Amazing pictures.... looks like a winter wonderland, although, I totally get it, if you're sick of it. Our winter here in MI has been more severe than recent years, but no where near the amount of snow in your pictures. I bet it felt good to get your cars unburied.
