Is there any hope of getting this exhaust tip off? Topic is solved

Is there any hope of getting this exhaust tip off?

The clamp came off after a day of drinking PB Blaster, but now the tip is stuck and seems to be fused to the exhaust pipe.

I hit it with more PBB and will bang away again tomorrow, but I think I'll end up using a grinder to cut a line (dotted line) to where the tip tapers.

Any thoughts?

My suggestions in order of ease:
Cutoff wheel slitting.
Air hammer chisel.
Manual hammer and chisel.

It;s a rusty tail pipe. Why save it?

I just looked at mine today. It's not in great shape either. What are the plans for replacement?

Air chisels are useful. Best use I've seen so far was my buddy using it to shock loose the O2 sensors on an 02 XC70. Worked like a charm (but I had soaked them a week previously with PB Blaster).

However, in this case I would be using either a Dremel or a grinder with cut off wheel carefully.

Done. Grinding took all of 45 seconds. Thanks to everyone for their help. Starla 21448 replacement.

Where did you find that? FCP says backorder. I did find one on ebay, but it was $50.

Looking on IPD, it seems the style you have is either for a turbo, or wagon.
