Vadis request

Post by asummers »

Hello,
I haven't been able to purchase a copy of Vadis yet for my Volvos.

I was wondering if anyone could post (or email) the pages from Vadis that show how the center pillar trim where the seat belt retractor is located can be removed. The trim I need to remove is on the drivers side. The car is a 2000 S80 2.9.

Thanks for any help.
Alan

I've never pulled the seat belt cover on your model but have done most others,740.960.850.S70. They have all come off in the same basic way, pull straight off, starting near the top, one side at a time. They are held on with locking spring tabs. It may be hooked into the door sills at the bottom so pay attention.

Slightly different on the S80 but who would expect Volvo to use a tried and true method? The sill trim panels come off first.

This is from VADIS:
