I have seen old Mercedes use what they called horsehair in seats. A coarse, fiber material bonded into a mat. It crumbles with age and smells like tobacco.
I also remember the old junk yards where anything liquid was dumped on the ground. It eventually made an asphalt like base with broken glass, small metal, and plastic reinforcement. Likely they all became a cleanup site.

Has anyone tried the Magic Creeper ($70) or one of the more affordable ($20) clones? They get good reviews on Amazon and I need something to help these old bones.

I use moving blankets a lot on the driveway. I guess I am known for enduring a bit cooler weather than most, though...

I thought I was tough until I met a member here under her v70 doing a power steering rack in 15F weather outside at age > mine by some margin...

I was looking at moving mats and in the process came across these new creeper variants.

I try to avoid the cold floor/ground I bought these one sale a couple of times. One for the garage and one for junkyard runs.

They have held up well. If I go to the junkyards and I know the ground is likely going to ne wet, I take a 6' x 8' tarp to put under the mat. It is fairly waterproof, but as it has foam in it not worth getting it soaked.
