I should lock that hood down. I’m running a 10% battery so I have to disconnect it if I go for a week or else it goes flat.

Cheapskate. Port Jeff station 11777 is a bit. industrial but very safe. Down the hill is the ferry and small town scene which is fun.

My cobbler is right at the train station , a 7 minute drive from home

Thing one looks like about '59 Buick. I was going to say 1969 Impala. I once owned a '69 Belair.

I could not find an image of that 2 door brown car. I would suggest it is late 40's early 50's 'business man coupe'. Grill looks like a Pontiac, but can't find anything with that squared rear side window. Curious.

The small green car is a Lotus Elan being loaded on the trailer. Mid 1960's to mid 1970's. Probably around 70-72.

1966 Lotus Elan coupe. Purchased new in NE by a guy who raced it in SCCA from new. It came with trophies and photos! My friend bought it a few years ago as a project, never used it much, decided to sell it. It has a lot of cracks in the fiberglass. Tiny to sit in, maybe more so than a Midget / Sprite. ZERO side protection, it’s all fiberglass hung off the central backbone chassis. “Add lightness”

Truck driver had some stories. He was once paid “stupid money”, up front, to haul two ordinary old sports cars to Canada from the Northern US.
He crossed over, and was brought in for questioning. They kept him for a week - in a hotel, not jail, while they searched his record. One speeding ticket in MT. Decided he was harmless and knew nothing and they sent him home. Kept the cars. All the tires, including spares, were full of drugs.

Wow, look at that picture! Must be dusk, because early morning would be full of people and delivery trucks. Any other time packed with tourists and cars.

But this is when it was still a rough-edged produce and fish market for locals, maybe not so many tourists.

Either Stewart St or Pine St. Look at those old taverns on the right, Fo'c'sle Tavern and Pine Tavern - long gone. Look at how steep the street is - makes the buildings look like they’re leaning over. All brick.

Middle of the block is Post Alley. Lot of eateries in Post Alley. The Council Thrift Shop was there a long time. It was not a high income neighborhood.

I worked at the corner of Pike St & Pike Place, near the entry, above a flower shop, across from the newsstand, above an old time jazz club. We looked across the street at the clock, the bronze pig, and the big fish market where they would toss giant salmon across before wrapping them.

In the early morning in the rain with a few delivery trucks was the best time.

One weird fact of this model was that the wheel base is different front to back on left and right sides!

This was because they had torsion bar rear springing, and the ran across the car which meant they could not share the same space. Typical French genius, they just sat one behind the other and adjusted the wheelbase on one side!

They drove amazingly well, super smooth, but again the had a lot of body roll going around corners.
