It’s an Italian Cadillac! I was always amazed they built them at Pininfarina, shipped the completed body shells - by air - and installed the Cadillac drivetrain and suspension in the US. Then they didn’t sell very well and were cancelled after a pretty short while.

Maybe I’m wrong about them not selling well.

They were V8’s but front wheel drive.

Next they built this guy, the XLR, which is really a Corvette in a creased Cadillac suit with a folding hardtop.

You got it. I'm pretty sure that was the debut of the 32 valve Northstar V8 that didn't live up to its billing.
