Out of the blue, Volvo says "free towing for any disabled Volvo, in or out of warranty, regardless of age."
Yet another reason why I drive a Volvo, or something low-slung, fast, and red.

1982 240DL: Drove it 32 years and 1.5 million miles (sold, even still had mint leather!)

2010 v50: Smaller, slightly sportier wagon. Its got a spoiler, so I upgraded with sway bars!

Strange, they have done that for years here. Only stipulation was you have to have it repaired by them. Same with the lifetime warranty on repairs done while you own the car.

I suspect any shop that has a tow truck may offer free tow to their shop if you use them to do the work.
