Hi!
My 2017 XC90 AC works perfectly on the passenger and rear vents, but the driver side only blows warm air.
Has anyone experienced this issue? What was the cause and how did you fix it?
Thank for advanced!
XC90 AC Only Cold on One Side
My 2019 XC90 Inscription has been experiencing the exact same issue for about two years. Passenger side blows ice cold, driver side blows warm or hot air. I've read up on the cause on other forums and haven't had the $4-6k it would cost for the dealer to repair the root problem. Mine has had a leak in the low side R-134a refrigerant. I top it off with store bought R-134a and it will work perfectly for anywhere from a couple of weeks to 3-4 months. I have also replaced the low side schrader valve but that did not stop the leak. Today it's blowing hot air on the driver side again but it's showing 40lbs, right in the middle of the green on the gauge. So now I'm thinking something else is wrong and I need to either suck it up and take it to the stealer, find an independent shop, or affect the repair myself.
I just joined the forum in the hopes someone could provide some guidance and found your post at the top of the XC90 forum. I'm going to keep researching but hope someone else can chime in here.
