Remote wireless entry

I have a 1996 850Turbo and I lost my keys. I have copies but only had the one remote key entry. My friend crashed his Volvo which was the same year make model ect. And he gave me his remote keychain device. is there a way to program it to my car??

Try this: put your key into ignition turn 5 times on and of without starting the engine. When you turn 5-th time do not turn it off, within 5 seconds press any key on your remote. Check maybe it is going to work.
