2001 S40 1.9t Getting check engine and engine studders.

Post by rogeraperkins »

My s40 1.9T was great.... One day, my check engine light came on but it ran fine. I left it. About three months later, my engine started acting up. It idols ok. When I drive, if I am not pushing the gas much, it will studder like its running out of gas. If I push the it to the floor, it studders a couple of times and takes off. It doesnt appear the turbo kicks in at all. I took it to Autozone, they checked the codes. It said misfire on cyl 2 and Oxygen sensor. I replaced the Oxygen sensor and the plugs. I took it back to have the codes cleared. It ran bad on the way there but after the codes were cleared, It ran great for about 10 miles. Went back to the studdering. I went back, I got the same codes. This time, it was suggested to change the coil pack on cyl 2. I did, cleared the code, ran great. Again not long. It is still doing this. I have cleaned my MAS also. Can someone point me to the right suggestion to get this resolved??
Thanks

I am still having this issue.... I am thinking it maybe my computer gone haywire. The reason is, my blower motor on my ac goes from low to med then high by itself. Not all the time but sometimes.
