S60 brake pedal travel

Good morning all. I recently picked up a 02 s60 non turbo w/162,000 mi. on it. The car runs great, just need to do trans flush. My 1 question right now is the amount of brake pedal travel. The brakes work great but the travel seems excessive. On my F150 I adjusted the rod from the power booster to the master cylinder and took up most of the free play. I am wondering if the volvo has an adjustable rod like the Ford? This is more a comfort thing as I drive the truck, an Acura tsx, a S40 and they all have minimal travel before the brakes engage so I'm trying to get the same "secure" firm pedal out of the S60. Thanks in advance for any input.

If you pads are low that will give long pedal travel
Also a good brake bleeding should help

Pads are new and appears rotors are new. There is no spongieness in the pedal, it just has long travel before it engages. When the brakes are engaged the pedal is plenty off the floor. Just wondering about shortening up the initial tip in.
