Engine Block Coolant Drain Plug, 2000 S40

Does anyone have an image of the engine block drain plug location required to drain the coolant. Manual claims that it should be done both at the radiator and also at the engine block.

I can't find a picture of this but can say that it is at the rear of the engine.

Why are you draining the coolant? Volvo do not recommend a coolant change for these cars.

Really? Hard for me to imagine running the life of one of these cars without a coolant change. We are talking about the antifreeze aren't we?

MIJ,

From the owner's manual:

Changing coolant
Normally, the coolant does not need to be changed.

However, I would change it if the specific gravity of the coolant was outside the parameters or it had become contaminated.
