Try now.
I am trying. Very, according to my wife.

Bill.

No joy. 14.08 on the computer clock and 1.08pm on the post, but I can live with that as a lot of people always said I was slow.

Bill...I was an hour off too until I got into my preferences and ticked the little box for "daylight savings time" on... I'm not sure if you have daylight saving time on your side of the pond, but since this site originates in the U.S. where we have that, I think it will make a difference on your time settings being correct if you go ahead and tick the box for it as well. One more thing- if you go into profile and then signature, you can get rid of the space between your one-line entries in your signature. Somehow the switch-over from the other MVS put spaces in there.

David, I have the box ticked but I have now worked out that at this time of the year our time is GMT (UCT) + 1 hour. If I untick the box it goes back to GMT but then the clock on the computer is 1 hour behind. It will all change on the 26th October when our clocks revert to GMT. No need to worry about time from then 'til March 2009 but I don't worry about time anyway as it is a futile exercise. Now there is a move afoot to change our time to European time so goodness knows how many hours or, possibly, days the time will be out on the forum if that happens.

Thanks for pointing out about the signature. I must confess I don't read my signature when I am posting so I didn't see the spaces.

Matt has done a great job on the new site. I have certainly found it easier and quicker to use.
