Hello,
I am new to this board and I am trying to find procedures on how to replace the fuel pump in my car. I found the access covers on the left and right side of the car under the rear seat but am not sure how the right seat backrest is removed to
access the fuel pump cover. Then how do I fit the cables from the fuel pump access hole to the second access hole on the left side. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Robert

Welcome to MVS!
I am a moderator but know nothing about your particular car. I'm posting this rather than answering your email (same as this post). This is from VADIS (Volvo's own instructions for their techs). I hope it helps: Regards,

Robert,
Responding to your private message, I'm uploading the instructions on how to drain the fuel system here. In it are instructions on how to get the seat out of the way so you can get to the fuel tank It is more specific for the V70 model, but I believe it's basically the same for the S80...I could not find anything more for the S80 rear seat removal:.

Push straight up on outside seatback cushions to remove those. They clip to car body brackets and if slid upward they will come out.
Un plug headrest connectors at bottom of both foldable seatbacks. Remove the bolt at the bracket at outside bottom of each seatback. Now lift a little on seatback and slide it to the outside to remove. Now you have clearance to access pump and sender covers. Be sure you follow the instructuctions about tying a cord to the sender on left before pulling the pipe with ejector pump through to the right side. If this is not done then feeding the unit back through when installing will require you stick your arm into fuel tank.
