Idle problem s80

My car idle's up and down at all stops. I had just put gas in it about 30 min. prior,could it be that? I already had my throttle cleaned almost a year ago. Please help!!!!!

What you describe certainly could be bad gas, but it sounds an awful lot like the ETM (electronic throttle module) which '99 ~ '01 S80's among other Volvo's had trouble with- in fact, so much so that Volvo extended the warranty for 10 years or 200K miles. The first step in their service is to cleaning it. If you're having trouble after this, take your car into the dealer and complain. If you fit the parameters, they should change it out for free or they might try a throttle module software download first (which in some cases takes care of the problem).
