Hi,
Ive just bought a 1994 850 SE 2.0 Auto Estate.
118,000 miles with service history to 100,000.
Cambelt was changed in September 02 at 71,000.
There is a slight puffing from dipstick which I have learned via this site probably means the PCV.
Before I go to town on it I was wondering what you experts in cyberspace would recomend I incude in my service apart from oil, filters and plugs etc.
If there is a list on the forum already I apologise but I have looked....honest.
Many Thanks
Mark

Welcome to MVS Mark,
The timing belt has a 70k miles or 5 years limit. I would add a timing belt to your list. They are dirt cheap and just ride it out until 140k when you really need to change the belt and all of the associated rollers, tensioner, and the waterpump.
If you are getting puffs out of the dipstick deal with the PCV sooner rather than later so as to save the seals. While servicing the PCV it is a perfect time to clean up the throttle body and the IAC valve. You may or may not have EGR but you will need a new EGR valve gasket if you do and a throttle body gasket in addition to the PCV kit. The EGR hole through the intake manifold tends to clog up at about your mileage so it is a good time to clean that up as well.
These cars a very picky on parts. For oil filters use either Volvo or Mann (Mann makes the Volvo filters and they are the same). For spark plugs use the cheap Bosch coppers or OEM Volvo. The cars hate the multiprong Bosch platinums. The gap is critical at 0.028 - error on the low side. If you are changing wires go only with OEM Bougicord wires. The cap and rotor should be Bosch.
