v40 2001 se auto transmission slip

v40 2001 se automatic gearbox flares into neutral when changing gear under hard acceleration. This is an intermitent problem and wont do it twice in a row. Has anyone any idea what this could be as my Local
Volvo dealer has no idea.

Matt, I have the same problem on my 2001 V40. Replaced solenoid and flushed transmission but no change. Dealer can't explain it.
