Service light on for 3 mins?? 1988 740GLE

Fellas:
I just picked up my first two Volvos in the past month.
1. 1988 740GLE w 215k
2. 1985 740 Turbo w 230k

I have been playing around with them lately(changing fluids and mainly getting to know them.) My service light comes on when I start the 1988 model and stays on for 3-4 mins oor so. I am not sure what this is related to

. I am waiting for my books to come in the mail. The 1985 Turbo seems to have a bit more pep than the 1988 GLE. They are very nice considering they have over 200k on the clock. I had a problem with my power rook sticking open, and it amazed me that I had to call 3 Volvo dealer before one of them could tell me where the manual close function was

The service light comes on every 30K miles.

There is a trick to turning it off...Its what the dealer does. The manual should tell you how to do it.

service light is reminder for oil change on dash near trip odometeron my 92 940 is a black rubber button that when depressed resets light
