Trunk Lid will not open

03 V70, boot will not open using the handle, unlocked car using fob, boot wont open used fob boot opener, still no joy, handle seems to change in resistense when it should be available to open, but wont open, seems to work some times and not others, any recommendations, dosnt appear to be anything blocking and there is no debris there.

Welcome to MVS.
Did you try the inside unlock button at the driver's door?
If that doesn't work, try locking and unlocking your whole car with the actual key (driver's door) and see if this restores your FOB function.

No Joy ....It sounds as if the motor is working to unlatch but the handle on the boot is not fuctioning correctly, does the handle just make a relay to drive a motor to open the latch or is it a mechanical process?....

I think it's like the doors- a lock activator. You'll probably need a new one. If you aren't able to find this part, post back and I'll try to look it up for you.

Thanks for the advice... actually got it open, it looks like part of the plastic surround on the latch was catching.. working ok again...kind regards...B
