hi, i bought a volvo 2001 C70 convertible a couple of weeks ago. everything seemed to work ok. as i am the main driver and use it most i didn't come across this problem till now. on the control panel for the electric windows on the drivers door i can wind any window in the car up and down independantly, i can also do all of them at once with an extra button, obviously to be used when folding roof up/down. all these work so the window motors etc function fine.
however there are 2 switches in the rear for passengers to independantly operate the windows, neither of these will operate the windows. i have owned cars in the past which had a lock feature to stop children messing with them.
is this my problem??
if so where is the window lock on/off?
or do i have a fault that requires return to the dealer?
thanks in advance for your reply

They may be on a fuse that's blown. Check your owners manual for which fuse they are on.

It is probaly the "Children safety" thing. On the main switch in your drivers door there is a small light which will light up if this feature is on. To swtich it off pull both buttons for the rear windows up at the same time, this will switch the feature off. It can be a bit tricky though.
